Appointment of Wage ClerkCape Town – CBD

Trencon Construction will be appointing a Wage Clerk to join our site-based team in Cape Town CBD. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate wage capturing. timekeeping, and supporting the payroll process for site-based employees

The suitable candidate must comply with the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  1. National Senior Certificate (Matric).
  2. 2 years working experience in construction wage/payroll environment.
  3. Knowledge of relevant payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Understanding of BCEA and payroll-related Iegislation.
  5. A bility to work under pressure and meet weekly deadlines.

The following personal attributes will be an advantage (but are not pre-requisites):

  1. Capture and process weekly wages accurately and timeously.
  2. Maintain up-to-date employee attendance registers and time sheets
  3. Verify hours worked, leave taken, and overtime claims.
  4. Liaise with Site Supervisors regarding daily and weekly labour reports.
  5. Assist with onboarding of wage employees and maintaining personnel records
  6. Ensure compliance with company payroll policies and bargaining council requirements.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of employee wage information.
